Early Life
Yvonne Jegede was born on August 25, 1983, in Agenebode, Edo State, Nigeria. She completed her primary and secondary education in Lagos State before furthering her studies at Girne American University. There, she earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations.
Career
Yvonne Jegede’s journey into the entertainment industry began in 2004 with a role in the Nollywood film Missing Angels. She gained wider recognition in 2005 when she appeared in the iconic music video for African Queen by 2Face Idibia. This appearance, alongside Annie Macaulay, significantly boosted her profile.
After completing her university education in 2012, Yvonne returned to Nollywood and starred in several notable films such as Okafor’s Law, Single and Married, and 10 Days in Sun City. In 2015, she took on the role of producer with her first film 3 is Company, where she also starred as the lead character. Her work was well received, marking a significant milestone in her career.
In late 2016, Yvonne Jegede graced the cover of Genevieve Magazine’s wedding edition, further establishing her influence in both the entertainment and fashion industries.
On November 1, 2021, Yvonne celebrated her son’s third birthday and publicly shared her deep affection for him, acknowledging his significant role in her life as a single mother.
