Puffy Tee, born Temidayo Babatope Joseph, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and record producer from Ekiti State who has built a reputation both behind the boards and as a mentor to emerging Nigerian talent.

Puffy Tee’s dual role as a performer and producer has set him apart within the Nigerian music scene, allowing him to bring a performer’s sensibility to his production work while continuing to release his own music as a singer-songwriter.

He served as a judge on the MTN Next Afrobeats Stars initiative, a talent development programme aimed at discovering new Nigerian musical talent. Leading his own team, dubbed ‘Team PuffyTee,’ he guided two contestants, Ayo Benzi and Dave Cash, to first and second place respectively, an outcome that highlighted his eye for developing young artists.

Puffy Tee also played a key role in producing the theme song for AIT, one of Nigeria’s prominent television networks, adding institutional and broadcast work to a career otherwise centred on the mainstream Afrobeats and Afropop space.

In 2016, Puffy Tee received a special recognition award from event organisers acknowledging his contributions to the Nigerian music industry, reflecting a career built on dual expertise as both a recording artist and a behind-the-scenes hitmaker.
