Early Life

Ben’Jamin Obadje, popularly known as Spellz, is a renowned Nigerian music producer celebrated for his work across Afrobeats, pop, and R&B.

He attended Federal Government College, Idoani, in Ondo State, and went on to study Computer Science at Covenant University.

However, driven by his passion for music, he left the university after three years to pursue a full-time career in music production.

Personal Life

Spellz proposed to Hadiza Dije Badaki on August 31, 2015, and the couple got married on February 28, 2016. They welcomed their first child on February 16, 2017. Despite his success and busy career, Spellz balances family life with his creative work behind the scenes.

Career

Spellz has crafted multiple chart-topping hits for some of Nigeria’s biggest music stars. He delivered standout productions like Gaga Crazy by Chuddy K, My Dear by Dammy Krane, Check and Balance by Burna Boy, Mummy Mi by Wizkid, How Long by Davido, and Keys to the City by Tiwa Savage.

With a sound defined by energy and genre-bending innovation, Spellz has teamed up with major artists including 9ice, Banky W., D’Prince, and Tiwa Savage, consistently pushing the boundaries of Afrobeat and contemporary African pop.

Furthermore he was Signed to 323 Entertainment, he continues to evolve as a powerhouse in the industry, with the label playing a key role in his creative journey.

His impact on Nigerian music has also earned him a place on ThisDay’s prestigious Top 10 Music Producers list in 2016, and Nigerian Entertainment Today ranked him 7th on their monthly producer spotlight.
