Tyrone, born Triumph Grandeur, is a Nigerian record producer best known for shaping some of Olamide and Reminisce’s most award-winning early street-pop records.

His passion for music began at age nine, when he learned to play various instruments including the drums, piano, and guitar, laying the technical foundation for a production career built on live instrumentation as much as programmed beats.

Tyrone produced Olamide’s multi-award-winning ‘Voice of the Street,’ the title track of his 2012 YBNL album, one of the defining records of the label’s early identity as a home for indigenous Nigerian rap. He went on to work extensively with Reminisce, producing ‘Baba Hafusa,’ ‘Grind,’ and the award-winning ‘Local Rappers,’ which featured both Olamide and Phyno.

Beyond his work with the YBNL camp, Tyrone has produced for a range of other prominent Nigerian artists including 2Baba, Ruggedman, and Wande Coal, building a catalogue rooted in street-hop and indigenous rap production during a formative period for the genre.

Tyrone’s work helped shape the sound of Nigerian street-pop’s rise to mainstream prominence in the early 2010s, contributing to some of the era’s most celebrated and awarded singles.
