Rema has earned the title of the most-streamed artist for Q1 2025, racking up an impressive 223 million streams on YouTube.
This achievement was revealed yesterday in a data report by The Debut Hub, a leading Nigerian music chart platform. Rema reached this milestone largely thanks to the massive success of his hit single Is It Crime, which significantly boosted his overall stream count.
This success reinforces Rema’s status as one of the top stars in Nigeria’s music scene.
However, Rema wasn’t the only Nigerian artist making waves in 2025. Global superstar Burna Boy claimed second place with 171 million streams, as he prepares to drop his highly anticipated 8th studio album, No Sign of Weakness.
Ayra Starr, famous for her hit singles and powerhouse vocals, secured the third spot with 169 million streams.
Also, Close behind were Davido and Wizkid, ranking fourth and fifth with 113 million and 102 million streams, respectively.
The start of 2025 has already proven to be an exciting year for Afrobeats and Nigerian artists, who continue to perform strongly on global platforms like YouTube.
