Nigerian singer Adekunle Temitope, popularly known as Small Doctor, has issued a strong warning to Nigerians regarding the safety of using certain public transport vehicles, especially the commonly used minibuses known locally as “Korope.”

The singer raised concerns about the growing number of minibuses operating with conductors, claiming that many of them may be involved in suspicious or harmful activities. He cautioned the public to avoid boarding such vehicles, emphasizing that personal safety must come first.
Small Doctor stated that nearly 90 percent of these minibuses could have hidden motives, making them potentially dangerous for unsuspecting passengers.
“If you come across a mini bus (Korope) with a conductor, please do not board,” he warned. “Do not board. 90% of them have another agenda. Be vigilant.”
His message quickly gained attention, with many Nigerians echoing similar concerns about public transport safety in major cities, particularly Lagos. The warning has sparked conversations around urban transport regulations and the need for stronger commuter protections.
Small Doctor’s warning highlights ongoing concerns about the safety of public transport in Nigeria. As city dwellers rely heavily on minibuses, his advice urges commuters to remain cautious and aware of their surroundings. Meanwhile, rising tensions between public figures and security agencies continue to spark broader discussions on public safety and expression.
