TXC Release Nakupenda Featuring Davido and Zlatan
South African Amapiano duo TXC have officially released their highly anticipated single Nakupenda, a cross-border collaboration featuring Nigerian superstars Davido and Zlatan.
The release has sparked excitement across Africa, with fans eager to hear what the powerful lineup delivered. Nakupenda brings together leading voices from South Africa and Nigeria, reflecting the deepening musical connection between Amapiano and Afrobeats.
In addition to TXC, Davido, and Zlatan, the song also features Scotts Maphuma, Shoday, and Al Xapo, making it one of the most diverse collaborative records released this year. The fusion of styles creates a vibrant, high-energy sound that also blends Amapiano’s rhythmic bounce with Afrobeats’ melodic appeal.
Ahead of the release, TXC described the project as “a TXC original film,” hinting at a strong visual and creative direction behind the record. The title Nakupenda, a Swahili phrase meaning “I love you,” points to themes of affection, joy, and celebration, delivered over infectious production built for dance floors and festival stages.
