Early Life
Lota Chukwu was born in Nsukka, Enugu State, in southeastern Nigeria. However, she spent most of her early years growing up in Benin City, the capital of Edo State in southern Nigeria.
As the youngest of four siblings, she pursued higher education at the University of Benin, studying Agricultural Economics and Extension Service. Later, she refined her acting skills at the Royal Arts Academy in Lagos.
Career
Lota Chukwu began her career in modeling and represented Yobe State in the 2011 edition of The Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant. She transitioned into acting the same year and eventually rose to fame with her breakout role in Jenifaโs Diary.
Lota Chukwu has also acted in several films including The Royal Hibiscus Hotel, Falling, Fine Girl, The Arbitration, and Dognapped. In the music industry, she took on lead roles in music videos such as Reminisceโs Ponmile and Aramideโs Why So Serious.
In 2017, she launched Lota Takes, her own food and lifestyle show, which showcases her passion for cooking and nature. The show has featured popular Nigerian celebrities such as Adekunle Gold, Tosin Ajibade, Aramide, and MC Galaxy.
