Early Life

Tracey George hails from Nigeria and grew up in a challenging environment following the early passing of her mother. She lived and studied in various places including Onitsha learning Central Igbo fluently along the way. Though her parents did not speak the language, she embraced it through immersion during her formative years. Driven by an early interest in performance, she envisioned a future in storytelling and public engagement from childhood.

Her strong sense of independence was shaped by personal experience, as she adopted leadership responsibilities early in life, caring for her younger siblings after her mother’s death

Career

Tracey began her professional career in the Nigerian corporate space before pivoting to the entertainment industry. Her debut as an actress came through consistency, dedication, and a willingness to learn every aspect of production from auditioning to supporting crew tasks.

In 2023, she landed the lead role of Nnenna in the groundbreaking Africa Magic Igbo series Nwanyi Ike, portraying a resilient and authoritative character navigating familial conflicts and inheritance disputes. Her portrayal resonated with viewers and critics, highlighting the strength of Igbo women and contributing to conversations on gender roles in traditional settings.

She also appeared in numerous Nollywood films and TV shows, including Hotel Labamba, Slum King, Diiche, Strained, Chetam, and Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, earning recognition as an expressive and versatile actress.

Most notably, she appears as Mrs. Ejiofor in 4 episodes of the international series To Kill a Monkey (2025), showcasing her talent on a wider platform beyond Nollywood.
