Nigerian rapper and YBNL Nation boss, Olamide, recently shared insight into his relationship with Afrobeats heavyweights Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy. During a conversation on Adesope Live, he spoke openly about their brotherhood, energy, and why they sometimes clash.

He described Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy as his close friends, calling them lively and full of energy. According to him, their playful nature sometimes makes it hard to keep up, and their strong personalities occasionally lead to disagreements. Still, he views these differences as normal in any real friendship.
“Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy are all my guys,” Olamide said. “They just bring so much energy it’s wild sometimes. We don’t always agree, and that’s perfectly okay. That’s what happens when you deal with real people.”
Olamide also addressed the widely discussed “Big 3” debate in Afrobeats, which typically includes Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy as the genre’s top three. Despite his massive impact on Nigerian music, Olamide made it clear that he doesn’t concern himself with rankings or titles.
He explained that his priority has always been his art and his fans. Rather than chase recognition, Olamide focuses on delivering authentic music that resonates with his audience.
