Early Life
Ayomide Bakare Iyanuoluwa, popularly known as Ayox, was born on January 4, 2003, in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. He is currently a student at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA). Growing up in Ondo, Ayox developed a passion for music early on and began recording songs by the age of 12.
Career
Ayox first caught public attention with his unique cover of Libianca’s “People,” a rendition that quickly gained traction and drew praise from top Nigerian musicians. His professional music journey took off in 2021 with the release of his debut single, “Pray For Me.”
Since then, Ayox has consistently shown his musical versatility, collaborating with established artists like Zlatan Ibile and QDot. His sound is a vibrant fusion of Afrobeats, highlife, fuji, hip-hop, R&B, and soul. Influenced by legends such as Beautiful Nubia, Olamide, Burna Boy, and international pop star Justin Bieber, Ayox creates music that speaks to both local and global audiences.
Also, Driven by a mission to put his hometown on the world music map, Ayox continues to grow his fanbase and refine his craft with every release.
He represents the next wave of Nigerian artists who blend tradition with innovation. With a clear vision and a genre-bending sound, he’s steadily paving his way to international acclaim.
