Adeyemi Kafayat, the estranged wife of Fuji musician Shanko Rasheed, has regained custody of her two children. The development follows an intervention by the Lagos State Government.

The case gained attention after a family crisis and the tragic death of the couple’s eldest son, Jamal. The situation led to public concern and calls for action.

The reunion was facilitated by the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) with support from concerned Nigerians. Actress Biola Adebayo confirmed the update online.

“Shanko’s wife has finally taken custody of her two children after the loss of her first child. Victory at last.”

The custody dispute became more intense three weeks ago. This followed the death of the couple’s teenage son. During an appearance on the Talk to B podcast, Kafayat asked for public help.

“Regain her two kids from him.”

She alleged that Shanko Rasheed forcefully took the children after their son’s passing. She also made serious claims about domestic abuse and neglect.

According to Kafayat, the singer abandoned her with three children. She linked this situation to the emotional struggles faced by their late son.

“Died from depression.”

She further accused the singer of being responsible for the circumstances that led to the tragedy.

“Killing Jamal.”

In response to the growing public concern, the DSVA stepped in. The agency focused on the safety and welfare of the children.

Reports indicate that Shanko Rasheed also made counterclaims during the dispute. However, the intervention resulted in the children being returned to their mother.

For now, the children remain in Kafayat’s custody. Authorities are expected to continue monitoring the situation as investigations proceed.
