Kaduna-born Hausa-Afrobeats singer Rumerh has closed out a busy run of releases and features, keeping her name in steady rotation across Northern Nigeria’s music scene into 2026.
Since November 2025, Rumerh has featured on RD-ONE‘s single “KADUNA,” released her own track “I Dey for You,” appeared on “Nasara,” and reunited with Mr. 442, her collaborator on the 2024 hit “Bariki,” for the single “Fame.” The steady stream of collaborations reflects a deliberate strategy of staying visible through features rather than relying solely on solo releases, a common approach among Northern Nigeria’s fast-growing streaming-first artist scene.
Rumerh, whose real name is Rumasa’u Adamu Muhammad, first broke through in 2022 with singles including “Wai Banaji” and “Yar Kwalta,” before her 2024 single “Beauty Sleep” was remixed with a feature from rapper Magnito. She has since built a following of more than 16,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with a sound that blends Hausa lyricism with Afrobeats and Amapiano influences.
