Nollywood actress and producer Blessing Jessica Obasi has expressed gratitude after receiving an outpouring of praise for her performance in ‘Blood Sisters 2,’ following a watch party held to celebrate the project.
Taking to Instagram, Obasi said she was overwhelmed by the love and support shown by fans who came together to celebrate both the film and her journey as an actor, describing the evening as truly special. She singled out EbonyLife’s Mo Abudu and the wider production team for the opportunity to be part of what she called a phenomenal production, one of Nollywood’s most high-profile franchises in recent years.
The role adds another highlight to a career that has spanned more than fifty films. Obasi, who studied Industrial Relations and Personnel Management at the University of Lagos, first drew widespread acclaim for her portrayal of Deborah in Niyi Akinmolayan’s hit film ‘Prophetess,’ a performance that helped establish her as one of Nollywood’s more versatile dramatic actresses.
Beyond acting, Obasi has built a parallel career as a producer and social media personality, running the YouTube channel The Nzes alongside her husband, fellow actor Stan Nze, whom she married in 2021. The couple, who welcomed their son Jayden in 2023, have become one of Nollywood’s more visible on-screen and off-screen partnerships, regularly sharing their work and family life with followers.
With ‘Blood Sisters 2’ generating strong buzz, Obasi’s latest outing looks set to keep her name in the conversation as one of the industry’s steady, dependable performers.
