Eniola Ajao is a Nigerian actress and film producer from Epe, Lagos State, who has built one of the more remarkable career arcs in Yoruba Nollywood, moving from an accounts clerk to a bankable producer in her own right. Born on January 21 as the last of six children and a twin, she attended St. Michael’s Anglican Primary School and Army Secondary School in Epe before earning an OND in Accounting from Yaba College of Technology and later a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos.

Her entry into the industry came unexpectedly in 2003 while working as an accounts clerk. She met film producer Great Value during a business meeting, and her potential was quickly recognised, leading to a lead role by 2004 alongside established names like Femi Adebayo and Peju Ogunmola. She went on to hone her craft under producer Adesanya Adeshina for two years, and has since built a filmography of more than 75 movies, including “The Vendor,” “Yeye Alara,” “Olokiki Oru,” “Blackout,” and “Lisabi: The Uprising.”

In recent years, Eniola has shifted increasing focus toward film production, giving her greater control over storytelling and casting. Her first major cinema production, “Beast of Two Worlds (Ajakaju)” (2024), became one of the year’s highest-grossing Nollywood films, and she followed it by co-producing “Owambe Thieves,” released in cinemas in April 2025. She keeps her personal life private, though she has shared that she has one son.
