Popular Nigerian gospel artiste Judikay has shared a deeply personal experience. She revealed that she suffered her sixth miscarriage in February 2025.
The “More Than Gold” singer opened up in a video posted on social media. She explained that the loss happened after she had passed the three-month stage of pregnancy.
Judikay said the incident started suddenly while she was going about her daily routine.
“In February 2025, I experienced a pain that almost crushed me. I was pregnant for well over three months.”
At first, she dismissed the early symptoms. However, the situation quickly became serious.
“And then trickles of blood… what I thought should be urine was blood. It did not stop. It kept flowing. And I was devastated because I understood what that meant automatically.”
She was rushed to the hospital. Doctors later confirmed it was a missed miscarriage. She then underwent a dilation and curettage (D&C) procedure.
Reflecting on the experience, Judikay spoke about the emotional and physical toll.
“This baby that I lost, that has gone past three months, mark the sixth one.”
Despite her strong public image as a worship leader, she admitted to struggling privately with grief.
“Everyone would ask, and I would say God gets the glory. But then in the silence of the night, I would experience a pain that I could not express.”
She also described moments of deep emotional pain and questioning.
“I would wail and cry and say, ‘Jesus, where are you?’”
Judikay married Anselem Opara in 2020 and welcomed a son in 2022. She is widely known for songs like “Songs of Angel: Ndimozi Binigwe.”
Her story has sparked conversations about grief, faith, and resilience among fans and the wider public.
