Nigerian skit maker and singer Nasboi has made a passionate appeal to citizens, urging them to rise above tribal and religious divisions and focus on demanding accountability from those in power. He expressed deep frustration over how many Nigerians remain silent despite recurring cases of corruption and misuse of public funds.

Nasboi recalled infamous incidents where large sums of money went missing under questionable circumstances, lamenting that politicians continue to enrich themselves while ordinary citizens suffer. He stated that many leaders live extravagantly without concern for the hardship faced by the masses.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) page, Nasboi wrote:

“We’ve really kept quiet in this country. Reminiscing stories like ‘snake swallowing money.’ These politicians really take us for granted busy stealing money they cannot finish on earth. It’s time to put our tribes and religions aside. Put this country first.”

Nasboi emphasized that real progress will only come when Nigerians unite and speak out collectively against corruption and injustice. He urged citizens to hold leaders accountable and demand better governance, insisting that silence only empowers the corrupt.

This isn’t the first time Nasboi has voiced his discontent. Months earlier, he criticized a police officer who allegedly asked him to transfer money into a Sporty Bet account during his nationwide tour to promote his music.

Nasboi’s message serves as a reminder that lasting change begins with unity and civic responsibility. His call challenges Nigerians to set aside divisions, confront corruption, and demand leadership that truly prioritizes the nation’s welfare over personal gain.
