Early Life
Carol King was born on July 24, 1963, in Lagos to Edo parents. She completed her primary education at St. Soweto Primary School and attended Awori Anglican Comprehensive High School for secondary education.
She later earned a Diploma in Insurance from Ahmadu Bello University and a Bachelorโs degree in Christian Religious Studies from Lagos State University, showcasing her dedication to both academics and the arts.
Career
Carol began acting after auditioning for the radio drama I Need To Know. Her breakout role came as Jumoke in the TV series Everyday People, which made her a household name in Nigeria.
She starred in numerous productions including Dazzling Mirage, The Gods Are Still Not To Blame, and Pasito Dehinde. Her commanding stage presence and nurturing characters earned her the African Youth Role Model Award in 2009.
Carol lives in Lagos with her husband, Captain Kolawole King. They share two children: Abdulqudus and Sola. She also has an older son, Ikemefuna, from her previous marriage with Nsolo.
