Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has publicly apologized to Afrobeats star Davido and his wife, Chioma, after mistakenly criticizing his 5ive Star Food venture.

Believing it to be a restaurant, Martins had advised Davido via Instagram to name the project after Chioma, famed for her culinary skills. She praised the couple, explaining her comments stemmed from admiration, not malice.
Davido quickly corrected her, clarifying that 5ive Star Food is a promotional campaign for his album 5IVE, in partnership with the FoodCourt app. He also asked her to remove Chioma’s photo from her post.
Sarah Martins responded with an apology video on Instagram. She admitted she based her comments on a misleading food blogger’s post and expressed deep regret for any disrespect. Reaffirming her loyalty, she called herself a “die-hard fan” of both Davido and Chioma.
“One and only 001 @davido. The king himself, the crown of my sis Chioma, the apple of our eyes (30BGs). Please, I’m truly sorry if you felt disrespected,” she wrote.
She appealed to Davido and his fans to watch and support her work, stating, “I get faith, you be kind man, and you fit shock me by granting my request.”
This incident underscores the importance of accurate information and respectful communication, especially in today’s fast-paced digital landscape.
