Early Life
Femi Adebayo was born in Lagos State, Nigeria, and hails from Ilorin, Kwara State through his father, Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello). He attended C&S College, Ilorin, for his secondary education. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Ilorin and a master’s degree in law from the University of Ibadan.
Career
Femi Adebayo launched his acting career in 1985 when he appeared in Ogun Ajaye, his fatherโs debut film. Since then, he has acted in over 500 movies, earning numerous awards, including four Best Yoruba Actor awards at the African Film Awards in London and the Best Actor award at the 2012 Best of Nollywood Awards.
He has headlined popular titles such as Sonto Alapata, Wura Ati Fadaka, Ma Wobadan, and Buga. As Managing Director and CEO of J-15 Media Network Nigeria, Adebayo has significantly influenced the Yoruba film industry.
He secured endorsement deals with brands like StarTimes and Kubanah Whisky, reinforcing his presence in both entertainment and advertising. In 2022, he also earned a nomination for Best Actor in a Comedy at the AMVCA.
On October 9, 2016, Femi Adebayo married Omotayo Adebayo. The couple has one son together, and Femi has three other children from a previous marriage.
