Popular singer Burna Boy and businessman Aliko Dangote have been named among the “100 Most Notable Peace Icons in Africa” for 2025. The list was shared during a press event in Abuja on May 28, 2025.

The Peace Icons list honors Africans who help others, support peace, and bring good change to their communities. The event’s project head, Kingsley Amafibe, said the list includes people who work hard to make Africa a better place.

Many well-known Nigerians made the list. These include Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA, business leaders Tony Elumelu and Femi Otedola, footballer Victor Osimhen, and World Trade Organization leader Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. Also on the list are Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi.
