The Lagos State Police Command has sent out a strong warning to a famous Nigerian singer. This comes after police linked the musician to a stolen red vintage car worth over N250 million.
During a press briefing in Ikeja, Commissioner of Police Moshood Jimoh revealed shocking details. He said the car was one of 36 vehicles recovered in a recent operation across Nigeria and abroad.
Although he did not reveal the celebrity’s name, Jimoh confirmed that the force has credible information. According to him, the Nigerian singer allegedly bought the expensive vintage car. He urged the singer to return it before the police come looking.
“This vehicle you are seeing was stolen from abroad, and we learnt it’s worth more than N250 million… We learnt that one prominent musician, I don’t want to mention his name, was alleged to have bought one of the vehicles,” Jimoh said.
He also appealed to the singer to bring the car in voluntarily. “So, a celebrity that knows he bought this type of vehicle in red color should, before we look for him, bring the vehicle forward,” he added.
Many Nigerians are now talking about this issue. Fans are eager to know who the singer is. Some think the singer might not have known the car was stolen. Others believe the singer’s brand and reputation could be at risk if the allegations turn out true.
The police have promised to continue their crackdown on stolen vehicles. They say all those involved will face justice. For now, the mystery remains. Will the musician step forward quietly, or will the police reveal their identity soon?
