Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has openly declared his unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, crediting him for the recent progress in Nigeria.
Speaking passionately in a recent video, Portable insisted that no administration before Tinubu’s had brought meaningful change. “Since I was born, people kept saying Nigeria will get better. But only under Tinubu have we started seeing it happen,” he stated.
He emphasized that President Tinubu has begun fulfilling his promises and making visible improvements across the country. “Tinubu is Nigeria’s best president. Don’t let anyone deceive you. He’s doing what he said he would. Things are improving, and we stand behind him 100%,” Portable declared.
While many Nigerians continue to criticize the president on social media, Portable argued that even those critics will eventually benefit from the administration’s efforts. “People attack Tinubu online, but many of them will still enjoy the results of his leadership,” he added.
In a similar tone, Nigerian media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown also defended her choice to vote for Tinubu in the last election. She dismissed claims that her support came from personal gain, stating, “I made my choice because I believed in him. Every Nigerian deserves the right to choose freely, without fear or backlash.”
Both public figures used their platforms to call for political tolerance and urged citizens to judge leaders by their impact, not online narratives. Their remarks come at a time when political sentiments run high, making their support both bold and controversial.
