Nollywood actress Iheme Nancy has openly pledged her unwavering support for Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate. Despite typically avoiding political matters, Nancy declared her readiness to campaign for Obi at any time even without compensation.

The actress shared her stance in a passionate social media post, emphasizing that her support stems from deep concern for the future of her unborn children, her family, and her entire generation. She called on others to involve her in any grassroots or national campaign activities involving Peter Obi, stating that she would participate fully and without hesitation.
“I don’t usually do this,” she said, “but I will campaign for Peter Obi any day, anytime. If there’s a platform or team I need to join, count me in I’ll do it for free. I’m doing this for my family, for my future children, for my generation.”
Iheme also addressed the wave of criticism directed at Peter Obi, interpreting the backlash as a sign of his impact. According to her, the rising opposition only confirms that Obi must be doing something right.
“Why the hate?” she questioned. “That just means he’s making real moves. I don’t do politics, but when the time comes, I’ll get involved 100%.”
Her post adds to the growing list of Nigerian celebrities showing open support for political figures they believe in. As conversations around the 2027 elections start gaining momentum, Iheme Nancy’s declaration may inspire other young voices in the entertainment industry to take a stand.
