Nigerian music superstar Tiwa Savage has opened up about her desire to expand her family, revealing that she’s ready to have more children specifically boys. In a candid conversation with U.S. podcaster Joe Budden, the Afrobeats queen shared her personal journey, saying she has completed the process of freezing her eggs.

“I want more children boys. I’ve already done egg freezing. I’m just preparing,” she said. “I’m not getting any younger, and I want to make sure my eggs are still very healthy.”
As a single mother and global music icon, Tiwa’s openness about fertility planning reflects her commitment to balancing motherhood with a demanding career. Her honesty also sheds light on the growing conversation around reproductive choices for women in the spotlight.
Switching gears to the music scene, Tiwa Savage also weighed in on a long-running debate within Afrobeats. She made a bold call to include fellow Nigerian singer Tems in the highly discussed “Big 3” lineup traditionally reserved for male artists Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.
According to Tiwa, Tems’ achievements speak volumes. From winning a Grammy to landing a spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and collaborating with international heavyweights, Tems has made her mark. “The growth of Afrobeats can’t be fully told without mentioning her,” Tiwa insisted.
She emphasized that the conversation around Afrobeats’ biggest stars should no longer exclude women, especially those who are pushing the genre forward on a global scale.
