According to Igwe, the situation could have been worse if not for the quick response of neighbors, estate staff, and drivers who acted swiftly to contain the flames before they spread beyond the kitchen. He revealed that his wife, Chioma Otisi, immediately ensured the safety of their children as the family evacuated the house.

Describing the experience on social media, Igwe expressed gratitude to God for sparing their lives and thanked the community for coming together in a moment of crisis. He also commended the Lagos State Fire Service for arriving promptly with a new fire truck and preventing further damage.

“This is a post to thank God for His faithfulness,” Igwe wrote. “Our kitchen AC caught fire while we were getting ready to go out. My community showed up drivers, gatemen, house owners they all came together to stop the fire from spreading. The fire service also arrived quickly and did an excellent job.”

Thankfully, no injuries were recorded, and the fire was confined to the kitchen area. Igwe also expressed appreciation to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Government for their support.

Noble Igwe’s experience serves as a reminder of the importance of community and preparedness during emergencies.
