Early Life
Ego Nwosu was born on 19 May 1993. She grew up in Lagos State, Nigeria, though her roots trace to Anambra State, with Bini heritage on her mother’s side. From a young age, she led her school’s drama club, discovering a passion for storytelling and performance.
Career
Ego Nwosu launched her acting career with a supporting role in the film 3 Is a Crowd back in 2017, after being introduced to producer Emem Isong by Desmond Elliot.
She rose to prominence for her role in To All the Broken Hearted and has since starred in more than 50 Nollywood films including titles like Fine Wine (2021) and Volcano.
Beyond acting she models and produces content through her company, leveraging her screen presence into broader creative control.
She also actively speaks on industry standards calling for higher quality storytelling and better funding in Nollywood.
Ego Nwosu exemplifies a new generation of Nigerian creatives who refuse to be confined by roles alone. Starting from drama club roots, she stepped into acting and leveraged production to tell stories on her own terms.
