Popular social media activist Verydarkman has disclosed a frightening experience that occurred immediately after he arrived in Nigeria from his recent trip to China. During a live stream, he explained that security operatives confronted him at the airport, seized his passport, and refused to explain why. Alarmed and confused, he pressed for answers, but the officers maintained silence.
According to him, he was taken into an office where he anticipated an interrogation. Instead, officials warned him that his life was in serious danger. They advised him to seek immediate protection from either the police, the military, or the DSS, revealing that intercepted communications suggested assassins had been sent after him. When he asked who was behind the threat, he was told it was a group, not an individual, but no names were disclosed.
After regaining his passport, he declined their offer of protection. He said he preferred to live without security escorts, stating that he had accepted whatever fate awaited him. His words—“The day I go is the day I go”—sparked concern across social media platforms.
