DJ Spinall Says “Struggles” Featuring Buju Banton and Summer Walker Is the Greatest Song He’s Ever Made

Nigerian DJ and producer DJ Spinall has described his latest release, Struggles, featuring reggae icon Buju Banton and American R&B star Summer Walker, as the greatest song of his career.

In a recent interview, Spinall revealed that the collaboration with Buju Banton came together unexpectedly during a trip to Jamaica. What began as a vacation quickly turned into a studio moment after his team connected with the reggae legend at his home. Spinall shared that he had sent Buju several instrumentals ahead of time, and when the artist selected the one he felt most connected to, it turned out to be the exact same instrumental Spinall had in mind.

“That just told me right there, ‘Okay, we’re locked in,’” Spinall said, describing the moment as confirmation of their creative alignment.
