Naziru M Ahmad, popularly known as Sarkin Waka, the Chief Singer of the Emir of Kano, has released a new collaborative single titled “Kina Burgeni Balaraba” alongside fellow Hausa music veteran Fati Niger.

The track, put out through Maishadda Global Resources, sees Sarkin Waka bring his commanding, ceremonial vocal style into a warmer, more romantic register alongside Fati Niger, adding another entry to his catalogue of over 300 songs.

The collaboration is a reminder of Sarkin Waka’s standing within Hausa music circles, where his royal praise-singing pedigree continues to sit comfortably alongside more contemporary, love-themed material like this latest release.
