Michael Sodienye Dappa, born January 26, 2000, in Opobo, Rivers State, is one of the fastest-emerging faces in Nollywood’s new generation of romantic leads. He belongs to the Ibani clan of the Ijaw ethnic group and was raised in a Christian household alongside his siblings. Michael pursued formal training in theatre arts at university before further honing his craft at the High Definition Film Academy (HDFA), where he gained hands-on experience in camera work, character interpretation and script analysis.

He began his professional acting career in March 2021, initially taking on minor roles in productions by director Oluchi Adundu. His visibility grew steadily through 2023 with appearances in “Love Can Be Messy” and “Wife for Christmas,” but it was his 2024 role as Denzel in “Kill Boro” that marked his true breakout, earning him wide recognition for its emotional depth and authenticity.
