MC Dymond returns to Abuja this weekend with the sixth edition of his comedy show, August Meeting 6.0, running under the theme “My Political Ambition” at the Abuja Continental Hotel on Sunday, September 13.
Organised by Dymond City Entertainment, the show opens with a red carpet at 5pm before the main show begins at 6pm.
Magnito Leads The Bill
Magnito headlines the lineup, joining host MC Dymond on a bill that also features MC Miti, Aminu De Comedian, Wafi, Aje Baba and MC Nappy.
It is a strong draw for the capital. Magnito has spent the past year moving between comedy and music, most recently linking up with Sarkodie and Teeah on “Zengeh” and building out a run of collaborations across the North.
A Theme With A Political Edge
“My Political Ambition” sets up an evening where humour and political commentary sit side by side, which is fitting for a city where entertainment and politics tend to share the same rooms.
The organisers have pitched the night as more than a straight comedy outing, describing it as an entertainment and networking event aimed at pulling together community members, business executives, political figures and traditional leaders alongside the usual comedy crowd.
