Jide Kosoko, known for his roles in countless Yoruba and English movies, shared that while he is grateful for what he has achieved, he cannot boast of being wealthy. In his words, “I have been in this [movie] industry for this long. I thank God that I can eat three square meals. But can I claim to be a rich man by Nigerian standards? No.”
His statement has sparked conversations about the Nigerian movie industry and how actors who have dedicated their lives to entertaining millions still struggle financially. Many fans expressed shock that a legend like Jide Kosoko is not rich despite his decades of hard work and contribution to Nollywood.

Despite not being wealthy, the actor said he is thankful for the simple things in life, like being able to eat well every day. His humility and honesty have earned him even more respect from fans and colleagues in the industry.
