Davido Gifts Odumodublvck’s Girlfriend ₦10 Million for Her Support

Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck recently shared a touching story about Afrobeats superstar Davido’s generous gift. The rapper revealed that Davido sent ₦10 million to his girlfriend to show appreciation for her support during his rise to fame. Odumodublvck shared the heartfelt news in an interview on Beat 99.9FM, describing Davido as more than just a colleague — he’s a brother.

“Shoutout to Davido; that’s my brother, you know? Two days ago, he sent 10 million naira to my girlfriend for being a real one. She really helped me in winning the Next Rated award at the Headies. She ran a whole campaign for me, and she’s been there from the start,” Odumodublvck said. He went on to emphasize that the gift wasn’t just about the money, but about recognizing the hard work and dedication of his girlfriend in his journey.

Davido

The rapper also recalled a memorable conversation with Davido in 2023. At the time, Odumodublvck was nominated for the Rookie of the Year award at the Headies, but Davido predicted that Odumodublvck would eventually win the prestigious Next Rated award. “There was a time in 2023 when Davido told me that I was going to win the Next Rated award. He said he felt like I would win it, even though I was nominated for the rookie award. Thank God they didn’t nominate me that year because the Next Rated was really for Asake, and I was never going to win that car,” Odumodublvck shared with a laugh, grateful for Davido’s encouragement.

Reflecting on the process, Odumodublvck emphasized that he values the journey more than the outcome. “There was never a time that I felt any type of way. I glorify the process. I like seeing the growth from here to there. Winning has only added more fuel to my fire,” he said.
