Early Life
Anna Ebiere Banner, born on February 18, 1995, is a Nigerian actress, model, and beauty queen. She rose to national prominence after winning the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) title in 2013.
Her victory earned her a spot at the Miss World 2013 pageant, where she represented Nigeria with pride. During her reign, she also served as the Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism to Governor Henry Dickson, using her platform to promote Nigeria’s rich heritage.
Career
Anna transitioned into acting in 2014, making her debut on the popular Nigerian drama series Super Story. Her entrance into the entertainment industry opened doors to new opportunities and widened her influence.
That same year, she began a publicized relationship with Nigerian singer Flavour (Chinedu Okoli). At age 20, Anna gave birth to their daughter, Sofia, on August 1, 2015. However, the relationship ended in 2016 following personal challenges. Despite the split, Anna and Flavour maintain a respectful co-parenting arrangement for the sake of their child.
Anna has shared her journey as a young mother, including her decision to leave Middlesex University in the UAE due to the demands of single parenthood. She candidly spoke about the emotional struggles she faced, including the pressure of societal expectations and personal loss. On February 1, 2021, she revealed that she battled depression and suicidal thoughts but ultimately chose to fight through it.
Today, Anna is in a new relationship with Abdullahi Ahmed Osikhena Sa’ad and continues to grow personally and professionally.
