Kiekie, born Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, is a Nigerian television personality, actress, comedian, and fashion entrepreneur whose blend of comedy and style has made her one of the more distinctive voices in Nigerian digital entertainment.
Born on June 20, 1990, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Adeaga-Ilori pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication at Bowen University before travelling to London to study tailoring, couture, and pattern making at the London College of Fashion. That fashion training shaped the early stages of her career, which began with work as a fashion stylist for established Nigerian brands.
Her transition into media came through GoldMyne TV in 2015, where she hosted and produced a fashion-focused show, building the media presence that would later support her move into online comedy. Combining humour with fashion commentary and a sharp comedic style, Kiekie developed a large online following and began collaborating with major Nigerian entertainers and appearing in Nollywood productions, gradually establishing herself as an actress alongside her content-creation work.
Kiekie’s achievements include winning the Trendupp Award for Force of Instagram in 2022, and receiving three nominations at the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, including Best Online Social Content Creator, an award she went on to win. She has also built a platform as a podcast host, interviewing high-profile guests including Nigerian musician Davido.
Beyond entertainment, Kiekie has spoken openly about balancing her public career with her private family life, including her decision to keep her husband largely off social media, and continues to expand her reach across comedy, fashion, and Nollywood, cementing her place as one of the industry’s more multifaceted personalities.
