Early Life

Layole Oyatogun was born in Lagos State, Nigeria, the daughter of the late veteran broadcaster Walter Oyatogun. Broadcasting runs in her family; her sisters, Moyo and Mofe Oyatogun, are also broadcasters. She studied at the University of Lagos before building a career across television, film and public relations.

Career

Layole began her broadcasting career co-presenting the entertainment show ‘Star Dust’ with her younger sister Mofe Oyatogun on MITV. In 2007, she moved to Silverbird Television, where she worked as a presenter and producer, anchoring the Cadbury Breakfast TV show, ‘Page 3,’ and the ‘MBGN Diary.’ She has also built a reputation as a sought-after red-carpet host, covering major fashion and awards events including Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

Beyond broadcasting, Layole has crossed into acting and film production, appearing in Nollywood titles including ’30 Days,’ ‘Battle Ground,’ ‘Damage,’ ‘Unconditional,’ ‘Mrs and Mrs Johnson,’ ‘U-Turn,’ ‘Mad About You,’ ‘Pepper Soup,’ ‘Trapped,’ ‘The Inn’ and ‘Tailor My Heart.’ She also works as a scriptwriter and public relations manager, adding production credits to her broadcasting and acting career.
