Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic Nwaturuocha, born on July 12, 1975, is a prominent Nigerian actress, producer, model, TV personality, investor, philanthropist, and co-founder of The Audrey Silva Company. As one of Nollywoodโs most industrious and highest-paid actresses, she has built an impressive reputation. She also serves as a brand ambassador and heads her own production company, Rita Dominic Productions.
Rita hails from the Royal Nwaturuocha family in Aboh Mbaise, Imo State, and is the youngest of four children. Her father worked as a medical doctor, while her mother served as a nursing officer.
Career
Rita Dominic began her performance journey in childhood through school plays and childrenโs television shows in Imo State. In 1998, she landed her first film role in A Time to Kill. Her portrayal of Clara Ikemba in The Meeting solidified her reputation as a versatile actress.
Throughout her career, she has produced several acclaimed films, including The Therapist, Light in the Dark, Bound, The Blindspot, and Desecration. She has won numerous accolades, including Best Actress awards for The Meeting in both 2013 and 2017. Her role in TV productions also earned her recognition. Rita has featured in over 100 Nollywood films and continues to be a force in the industry.
