Ronke Odusanya, popularly known as Flakky Ididowo, is a veteran Nigerian Yoruba-language film actress, film producer, and stage performer born on May 3, 1979, in Ogun State. She began her education at St. Benedict Nursery & Primary School before attending Federal Government Girls College, Akure, and went on to earn a degree in Mass Communication from Olabisi Onabanjo University.
Odusanya joined the Yoruba film scene around 2000, sharpening her craft within Adebayo Salami’s (Oga Bello’s) Awada Kerikeri Theatre Group before making her Nollywood debut in the 2001 film “Baba Ologba.” She spent her early years taking on minor roles alongside established stars like Femi Adebayo and Oga Bello, before her breakout came in 2006, when a role in a Fathia Balogun production earned her the enduring nickname “Flakky Ididowo.”
Over more than two decades in the industry, Ronke has built a filmography spanning drama, romance, and comedy, with credits including “Jenifa” (2008), where she played Becky, “Astray (Isina)” (2016), “A Girl’s Note” (2016), and “Introducing the Kujus,” available on Prime Video. Her performance in “Ailatunse” earned her a nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2017 Best of Nollywood Awards. Beyond acting, she also runs her own YouTube channel, Ronnies TV, and continues to work as a film producer within the Yoruba movie industry.
