Early Life
Wumi Toriola is a Nigerian actress and film producer known for her impactful roles in Yoruba cinema. Born on July 11, 1988, in Lagos, she grew up in a family of four with a strict father and lost her mother at a young age. She attended Providence Primary and Secondary School in Lagos before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Ilorin.
Career
Wumi began her acting career in 2009 with her debut role in the film Odunfa Caucus. She stepped into film production in 2015, producing her first movie, Ajewunmi. Over the years, she featured in popular movies such as Alakada Reloaded and The Cokers. Her talent earned her the Fastest Rising Actress (Yoruba) award at the City People Entertainment Awards in 2018.
In 2018, Wumi Toriola got married and welcomed her first child on October 14, 2019. However, in 2023, she publicly announced that her marriage had ended after four years.
