Early Life

Zack Orji was born in Libreville, Gabon. He spent his childhood across several African countries—Cameroon, Benin, and Togo—where he became fluent in both English and French. He is the eldest of seven children. Orji hails from Amata Mgbowo in Agwu Local Government Area of Enugu State. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Estate Management from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Career

Zack launched his acting career in 1991 with the film Unforgiven Sin, where he landed the lead role without a formal audition. Since then, he has featured in over 250 Nollywood films and earned recognition as one of the industry’s pioneers. In 2000, he directed his first film, WEB, which starred Ghanaian actress Kalsoume Sinare and went on to win Best Collaborative Film in Ghana in 2001.

Beyond acting, Zack is also a gospel singer and preacher. He actively participates in ministry and uses his platform to inspire others. In 2022, he publicly endorsed a presidential candidate, highlighting his engagement with national matters. He also runs a charity foundation focused on supporting people living with disabilities and the underprivileged.

Zack Orji is married to Ngozi Orji and they have three children. He also runs businesses in real estate and remains active on social media.
