Early Life

Juliet Ibrahim was born on March 3, 1983, in Accra to a Lebanese father and a Ghanaian-Liberian mother. She grew up alongside two sisters, including actress Sonia Ibrahim, and a brother. Due to civil wars, she spent most of her childhood in Lebanon and Ivory Coast.

She completed her primary education in Lebanon and attended secondary school in Ivory Coast with her parents. Juliet studied English, French, and Spanish at the Ghana Institute of Languages and pursued marketing, advertising, and public relations at the Ghana Institute of Journalism. In 2025, she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Communications from Berkeley College.

Juliet embraces her African identity proudly, rejecting terms that undermine her heritage. She fluently speaks English, French, and Spanish.

Career

Juliet Ibrahim debuted in acting with the 2005 film Crime to Christ, starring alongside Majid Michel. She appeared in her first Nollywood film, Yankee Boys, and has since featured in over 50 movies. She produced her first film, Number One Fan, in 2014, portraying a woman stalked by an obsessive admirer. Her second production, Shattered Romance, showcased Nigerian and Ghanaian talents and premiered in Accra later that year.

She debuted as a director with the TV series Every Woman Has a Story and prepared to launch her reality show, The Perfect Assistant. Juliet has worked in Twi, Yoruba, and Hausa language films, displaying her versatility.

As the inaugural President of Women in Film, Television and Media Ghana (WIFT Ghana), Juliet champions gender equality and women’s advancement in Ghana’s entertainment industry. She contributes her expertise to the advisory boards of the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival and Brampton International Nollywood Film Festival, promoting African stories worldwide. Juliet stands out as a creative entrepreneur and advocate for women in STEAM and media across Africa and the diaspora.
