Prince Nwafor is a Nigerian actor, model, and comedian who has built a prolific Nollywood career spanning more than two decades, known for his versatility across both comic and dramatic roles.

Born on August 18, 1977, in Enugu State, Nigeria, Nwafor discovered his passion for performance during his secondary school years in his home state. He went on to study Theatre Arts at Abia State University, Uturu, where he was an active member of his department’s theatre club, laying the academic groundwork for his acting career.

Nwafor officially joined Nollywood in 2003, registering with the Actors Guild of Nigeria’s Enugu chapter and attending auditions across Lagos, Enugu, and Asaba before landing consistent roles. He spent several years building his profile through minor and supporting parts before his breakthrough came with the 2009 film Forgive Me Father, in which he played the lead character and won audiences over with his comic timing and natural charisma.

Since that breakout role, Nwafor has appeared in more than 50 Nollywood films, including Really Surprising, 33 Minutes, War Front, Evil Coffin, and more recent titles such as A Player’s Heart, Show Me Love, and In His Arms. His ability to move fluidly between comedy and serious drama has made him a dependable and recognisable presence across different genres of Nigerian cinema.

On April 17, 2017, Nwafor married his wife, Amy, in a ceremony that drew attention from across the industry, with fellow actor Osita Iheme serving as his best man and actress Regina Daniels as chief bridesmaid, underscoring his deep ties within the Nollywood community.
