Early Life and Education
Helen Paul earned a doctorate in Theatre Arts from the University of Lagos, a milestone she proudly dedicated to her mother. Helen began her career as a presenter, working both as a freelancer and full-time host across several Nigerian media houses. She contributed to platforms like Lagos Television (LTV 8), Continental Broadcasting Service (CBS), and M-Net, where she co-hosts JARA on Africa Magic.
Career
She gained prominence through her role on the radio show Wetin Dey on Radio Continental 102.3FM in Lagos. As โTatafo,โ she humorously tackled societal issues with wit and satire. She also presented programs on TVC and Naija FM 102.7, showcasing her versatility.
In July 2012, she launched her debut album Welcome Party, featuring Afro-pop and R&B tracks that mix entertainment with social commentary. She later released singles like โTake It Backโ and โNever Knew,โ the latter reflecting her personal and professional journey.
Beyond entertainment, Helen expanded into business and education. She opened Massive Fabrics and Bridals in Lagos in 2012 and grew it to multiple outlets. In 2014, she founded the Helen Paul Theater and Film Academy, a comprehensive facility offering training in film, music, makeup, and digital media.
Helen is married to Femi Bamisile, and together they have two sons. In 2021, she relocated with her family to the United States. By 2022, she became the Head of Department for Arts, Music, and Entertainment at Heart International University in the U.S., marking another major step in her multifaceted career.
