Jideofor Kenechukwu Achufusi, professionally known as Swanky JKA, is a Nigerian actor and model born on October 17, 1991. With a commanding screen presence and dynamic acting style, he has become one of Nollywoodโs most promising young stars.
Career
Swanky JKA began his career in the entertainment industry as a model before transitioning into acting. Early in his acting journey, he appeared in several supporting roles in Nigerian films such as Poka Messiah, Black Rose, Pretty Little Thing, Ofu Obi, and A Lonely Lane. These roles allowed him to hone his skills and establish a solid foundation in the film industry.
His big break came in 2019 when he played the role of Nnamdi Okeke in Living in Bondage: Breaking Free, a sequel to the 1992 Nollywood classic. His powerful and charismatic performance in the film gained widespread attention and critical acclaim. It earned him a nomination for Best Actor and the prestigious Trailblazer Award at the 2020 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), highlighting him as one of the rising stars to watch.
Swanky JKA continued to build on his success by taking on the role of Chidi in the romantic comedy Kambili: The Whole 30 Yards, where he once again demonstrated his range and on-screen charm.
