Early Life

Judith Emike Audu-Foght, known professionally as Judith Audu, was born in Navy Town, Ojo. Her father served in the Nigerian Navy, while her mother owned a chain of restaurants and managed event rentals.

Judith grew up as the only daughter among three siblings. She completed her primary and secondary education in Navy Town and later earned a Diploma from the Nigerian French Language Village in Badagry. She gained direct entry admission into the University of Lagos, where she earned a Bachelorโ€™s degree in French. Judith further advanced her education with a Masterโ€™s degree in Public and International Affairs from the same university.

Career

Judith began her acting career while at university, joining theater groups where she developed her skills. During a university strike in 2004, she landed her first television role on the series One Love. She officially registered with the Actors Guild of Nigeria and appeared in several productions, including Tears of the Ghetto and Funtime. During her National Youth Service, Judith hosted and produced a French language program for Kebbi State Television and served as Drama Troupe Director.

After completing her Masterโ€™s, Judith secured a role on the popular TV series Tinsel and has since featured in numerous television shows and films. In 2014, she produced the short film Not Right, which addresses domestic violence and empowers women to speak out. Judith launched her production company and produced her first full-length feature film Just Not Married in 2016, which received critical acclaim and international recognition.

Judith uses her platform to advocate for social justice, supporting the UN Refugee Agency since 2019 and educating on sexual and gender-based violence. Her work has earned her multiple awards, including Best Actress at the Best of Nollywood Awards and recognition from the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture.
