Popular Nigerian rapper and activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resign due to his inability to address the country’s escalating insecurity. Falz drew attention to the President’s inaction by reposting a tweet originally made by Tinubu on November 6, 2014, in which Tinubu demanded the resignation of then-President Goodluck Jonathan over terrorism concerns.
Falz criticized Tinubu, stating that he has consistently shown unwillingness to protect the lives and property of Nigerian citizens despite previously giving the impression of concern. “You have consistently shown your unwillingness to protect the lives and property of our people despite pretending to care in the past. Resign now!” Falz wrote, urging immediate accountability.

During a recent United Nations event, alongside the US ambassador to the UN, Michael Waltz, international music star Nicki Minaj also highlighted the crisis. She called for urgent action to protect Nigerian Christians from persecution and emphasized the importance of peace, unity, and freedom of worship.
Nicki Minaj further expressed appreciation for US President Donald Trump for raising awareness about the plight of Nigerian Christians, reinforcing the global concern over the country’s security challenges.
