Ivorian rap heavyweight Didi B links up with Nigerian rapper 6uff on “Gaou la,” a new single released August 21, 2026 via Repat Agency, distributed by Sony Music Entertainment France.
Produced by Nigerian beatmaker Aykbeats, the two-and-a-half-minute track draws on Magic System’s enduring 2002 Ivorian classic “1er Gaou,” reworking a piece of Ivorian pop culture into a contemporary rap setting rather than functioning as a straight remake, with both artists building new vocal sections around the recognisable source material.
Didi B’s commanding delivery anchors the record, while 6uff brings his own perspective to the collaboration, together capturing the youthful energy shaping Côte d’Ivoire’s modern urban music scene. The single arrived alongside an official visualiser directed by Young Nouchi.
The collaboration lands during a strong 2026 run for 6uff, who has recently released the IRON ORE EP and teamed up with Odumodublvck on “10 Minutes,” making “Gaou la” his latest cross-border feature. It also follows Didi B’s gold-certified Nigerian crossover hit “Good Vibes” with Zinoleesky, continuing the Ivorian star’s growing ties with Nigeria’s music scene.
