The Federal Road Safety Corps has ordered the prosecution of popular Nigerian TikToker, Peller, following a car crash that recently went viral on social media. The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday afternoon and was allegedly connected to emotional distress stemming from a breakup between Peller and his girlfriend, Jarvis, who is also a well-known content creator.
Footage of the crash circulated widely on social media, sparking outrage. Many Nigerians condemned the dangerous act, with some demanding strict penalties, including the suspension or revocation of Peller’s driver’s licence. The incident reignited discussions about reckless driving, social media influence, and the responsibility of young celebrities.
Responding to the public outcry, the FRSC issued a statement on Monday, December 15, 2025. The agency directed its Lagos State Command to press legal charges against Peller for violating traffic laws.
Corps Marshal Shehu Muhammed addressed the entertainment community, urging industry leaders and associations to guide their members. He called on content creators and influencers to discourage unsafe driving and model responsible behavior on the roads.
The FRSC confirmed that Peller will face charges for reckless driving, using a phone while driving, and failing to maintain full attention. These offenses carry penalties under existing traffic regulations.
The agency stressed that fame and public recognition do not exempt anyone from the law. It warned that actions endangering lives will face legal consequences, regardless of popularity or social media status.
The FRSC’s move highlights its commitment to road safety and accountability. Peller now faces legal scrutiny and potential sanctions for endangering himself and the public.
