Early Life

Emmanuella Samuel was born on 22 July 2010 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, to James and Cynthia Samuel, though she hails from Imo State in southeastern Nigeria. She attended Brighton Gate Academy School in Port Harcourt. She began her entertainment journey at around five years old, after meeting comedian and producer Mark Angel while on a family holiday.

Career

Emmanuella made her debut appearance in episode 34 of Mark Angel Comedy, titled “Who Mess?” She rose to widespread international fame through the viral episode “This Is Not My Real Face Oh,” a performance that showcased her natural comic timing and confidence, quickly making her one of the most recognisable young entertainers to emerge from Nigeria’s YouTube comedy scene. The Mark Angel Comedy YouTube channel has since grown to more than 9.5 million subscribers and over 2.4 billion views, with Emmanuella established as one of its central performers alongside her cousin, Mark Angel, and fellow young comedian “Aunty” Success Madubuike.

Beyond her regular appearances in Mark Angel Comedy skits, Emmanuella has built her own independent social media presence, sharing content across Instagram and YouTube that has been viewed millions of times. In 2015, she won the G Influence Niger Delta Special Talent Award in recognition of her early impact in entertainment.

Personal Life

Emmanuella enjoys football, basketball, swimming, running and dancing outside of her entertainment career. She continues her education alongside her work in comedy, balancing school commitments with her fast-growing public profile.

Having grown up on screen from early childhood into her teenage years, Emmanuella remains one of the most recognisable young talents in African online comedy.
